For Patients

Thank you for choosing Dr Nancy Peters for your care.

On the day of your appointment, please arrive 10-minutes early to ensure we have enough time to prepare any outstanding paperwork.

We are mindful that your time is valuable and would like to avoid keeping you waiting. However, occasionally a patient (or a new baby) may require a little extra time. Where possible, we will advise you if we are running late.

Your first appointment involves a thorough medical assessment. If you have completed any tests relevant to your care, please email your results (e.g. blood test results, ultrasounds, previous operation reports, MRI within 6-months, X-Ray, CT scan, etc) to our administration team prior to your appointment date so that Dr Nancy Peters can thoroughly review them before your appointment.

What to Bring

  • A current referral from your GP or Specialist
  • Medicare, DVA and Pension cards
  • Your Private Health Insurance details (if applicable)
  • Any tests or scan results, including blood tests, ultrasounds, previous operation reports, X-rays, MRIs or CTs
  • A list of all medications you are on (including prescription, vitamins, supplement or herbal medicines)
  • Any relevant correspondence from other specialists who may be involved in your care
  • List of any known allergies
  • Glasses (if you wear them)
  • A list of any questions you may wish to ask so you don’t forget on the day

You are also welcome to bring a support person to your appointment.

  • Patients without insurance (please note, bulk-billed care is available at the Sutherland Hospital Gynaecology Clinic).
  • Self-funded patients (ie: uninsured patients willing to pay directly to have their surgery in a private hospital, to avoid the public hospital waiting list).
  • ADF (Australian Defence Force) patients.
  • DVA patients.
